JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a Project Finance Clerk to join the Finance Department. The incumbent will be responsible for financial, clerical and administrative support to the finance department and will report to the Project Bookkeeper and Finance Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review of purchase requisition and monitoring their timely processing
- Validation and processing of purchase orders and invoices onto AP and GL/Cashbook
- Creditors reconciliation, remittance advice and payments
- Cashbook Processing
- Petty Cash Handling and processing
- Safeguarding and retrieval of documentation
- Compliance and adherence to; all statutory Requirements, internal controls, and company policies & procedures • Ensure ancillary tasks are performed as delegated by the Bookkeeper or Financial Manager
Minimum requirements
- Grade 12/ Matric Certificate
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Post matric qualification in accounting/Bookkeeping
- Competent in Accounting software (Pastel or similar Accounting System)
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practice
- Basic VAT knowledge
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Driver’s licence (Preferred)
