Minibus Taxi Vehicles Scrapped Under TRP
(October 2006 - September 2018)

The initial Taxi Recapitalisation Programme that began in September 2006, successfully scrapped a total of 72 653 old minibus taxi vehicles as at the end of September 2018, from an estimated 135,894 unroadworthy minibus taxi vehicles estimated to be operating on public roads at the time.

Minibus Taxi Vehicles Scrapped Under RTRP (March 2019 - to date)

The Revised Taxi Recapitalisation Programme that commenced in March 2019 continued with the scrapping of unroadworthy old minibus taxi vehicles. The table below shows the number of taxis scrapped to date by province.
