JOB SUMMARY

The Department of Transport appointed Taxi Recapitalisation South Africa to create and execute
commercial solutions that will enhance the financial sustainability of the minibus taxi industry.

 

We are looking for a Project Coordinator to provide overall administration support to the PMO and its project portfolio. This function is specific to the monitoring and evaluation of all projects and their performance. All projects will be accompanied by a Project Charter and a master implementation project plan. The planned vs actual performance must be accompanied by a portfolio of evidence (PoE) from the Project Manager/s, which then becomes the responsibility of this function to manage. The role reports to the Senior Project Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitoring of the project progress against the original approved baseline project plan
  • Collation, analysing, recording, indexing and archiving of all PoE’s as stipulated in the plan, per project
  • Ensure safe, secure and reliably backed up storage mediums for all PoE’s
  • Develop, manage and be the custodian for the Risk Management process on behalf of the PMO, which must include all PMO strategic risks as well as operational project implementation risks, with mitigating action plans being actively managed and resolved with supporting evidence
  • Responsible for compiling the monthly project progress report (with dashboard summary) for the PMO Head. This will be used for reporting to the CEO, funders and other relevant stakeholders
  • Escalate challenges to the PMO Head for intervention and support
  • Ensure proper stakeholder management and build a credible relationship between PMO and the minibus taxi industry as a whole, where appropriate

Minimum requirements

  • Matric/Grade 12
  • Proficient in English and at least 5 African languages
  • A bachelor’s degree (or similar) in Risk Management or Project Management would be advantageous
  • Experienced in developing Monitoring and Evaluation techniques, systems and processes
  • Excellent prior experience in reporting and PoE management
  • Excellent prior experience in Risk Management
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office & other software systems
  • Must have own transport
