JOB SUMMARY

The Department of Transport appointed Taxi Recapitalisation South Africa to create and execute commercial solutions that will enhance the financial sustainability of the minibus taxi industry.

 

We are looking for a PMO Driver responsible for receiving and dispatching goods from the warehouse to container stores. Store goods (parts) received appropriately and resolve discrepancies in the delivery of goods (parts). The role reports to the Project Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service & Sales:

  • Identify customer needs, recommend appropriate vehicle spares and accessories.
  • Upsell and cross-sell related products and provide accurate pricing, availability, and delivery information.

Product Knowledge & Support:

  • Maintain a strong knowledge of vehicle parts, applications, and compatibility, able to advise customers on part specifications.

Sales Administration:

  • Process sales transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Reconcile daily cash and credit card transactions
  • Prepare deposit slips and financial reports
  • Generate quotations and follow up with customers to close sales
  • Handle returns, exchanges, and customer complaints in line with store policy.

Stock Coordination:

  • Check stock availability and requisition stock as required,
  • Notify inventory staff of low-stock or high-demand items,
  • Assisting with marketing initiatives.

Relationship Management:

  • Build relationships and excellent after-sales support with customers, mechanics, operators to encourage repeat business
  • Communicate promotions, specials, or new stock arrivals.

Minimum requirements

  • Grade 12/ Matric Certificate
  • 2-3 years of retail sales experience (vehicle spares industry preferred)
